"A Message to Garcia" is an inspirational essay/book written by Elbert Hubbard that was originally published in 1899 (that's right 1899). It is only 32 pages but it is an amazing 32 pages of reading. It has sold more than 50 million copies and has been translated into 37 languages.
The essay celebrates the initiative of a soldier who is assigned and accomplishes a daunting mission. He asks no questions, makes no objections, requests no help, but accomplishes the mission. The essay exhorts the reader to apply this attitude to his/her own life as an avenue to success. Its wide popularity reflected the general appeal of self-reliance and energetic problem solving in American Culture.

I have been a big fan of the band Sister Hazel for many years. They have some new music and one of the new songs just moved me the way only music can.
The song is called "I Believe in You" from Sister Hazel's newest CD called " Release".
I have reprinted some of the lyrics from the song to give you a flavor of this inspirational piece of music.
"I Believe in You"
I don't believe I'll be left behind
Don't believe in the bottom line
Don't believe there's an axe to grind
Don't believe you can buy more time
Don't believe what they say is true
Don't believe that it's win or lose
Don't believe that we've got to fight
Don't believe that I'm always right
Chorus
I believe in you (4 x)
I don't believe we stop and listen
Can't you see there's something missin'
Take a look from the blue birds eye
Get his view from way up high
Chorus
I believe in you (4 x)
I don't believe that I'm all alone
I don't know what I don't know
Drag your hands across the sky
I don't believe you need wings to fly
Chorus
I believe in you (7 x)
