In the recent movie "The Bucket List" two amazing questions are asked;
1. Have you found joy in life?
2. Has your life brought joy to others?
In the movie they define the "bucket list" as the list of things you want to do before you kick the bucket.
I raise these questions because in the challenging times we are facing today, it is important to do for yourself and to do for others which brings me to my list of things I want to do before I die (bucket list). I have shared my list with you (below) in order to give you an idea of what some of the items on your list may look like. I encourage you to write this "bucket list" and share it with those you write about in the list.
Two things to keep in mind;
1. Writing these items down will give you clarity on what you want to accomplish.
2. Sharing the list with others will bring you some accountability to get them done.
I would encourage you to review this list on a regular basis (1-2 times per year). During your review add new items and cross off the ones you have completed. Leave this list for your legacy.
Finally, if you are in the business world, I would encourage you to write a "bucket list" for your business. What are the things you want to accomplish in your business or career life and how does it tie in with where you are now?
Enjoy this exercise.
